Please follow the instructions here.

If that doesn't work you can do one of the following:

1. Remove the ms07-017 update (
Microsoft Update Security Update K925902) at Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel.

2. Remove
BricoPack Vista Inspirat (if you have it installed) at Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel.

DARKLORD, that is most certainly not the issue, although system restore will fix it anyway since it'll remove the update he downloaded.

ragu89, there is another thing you can do, follow this tutorial.

It seems as if that file has been corrupted or infected. You may have a virus on your hands or some spy ware. just cause your antivirus may not show one doesnt mean you dont have on, all it means is that there isnt no identification for the virus yet, its an unknwn variant, anti virus programs can only recgonise what they know..

Get access to another computer system and copy the user32.dll fine and replace yours, restart the system and you should be fine.

If that dont work, do a system restore to a previous time before you got the error, to do this
CLICK START / ALL PROGRAMS / ACCESSORIES / SYSTEM TOOLS / SYSTEM RESTORE.

Sir, Kindly state that it will work , the problem is not the update but its a file that was not updated propperly, after the restore he can update again, majorly i need not say that that particular file is regiustery specific and will cause more problems in the future if not fixed asap.

Besides restoring is easier and safer as well as he can always redo the update.. You have to remember to keep this simple , and please next time do not rate another expert.

How do I enhance my Asus PadFone X mini speaker loudness?

Look for a program called Sound Booster or one called DFX. DFX is my favorite because it not only boosts the volume, but lets you add other effects to enhance you sound as well. There is a free version. but to get all the effects you have to upgrade to the paid. If audio is important to you, check it out.

Calculation Error in QVGEO DLL?

A quick google search turns up nothing for this particular type of .dll file. Does this happen when you're using a specific program? I wonder if it's been something left behind from some sort of malware/spyware program?

Hope this helps!

Keep getting this message <window

Hello,
  • "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
    <Windows root>\system32\hal.dll.
Please re-install a copy of the above file."

  • "<Winnt_root>\System32\Hal.dll missing or corrupt:
Please re-install a copy of the above file."

  • "Cannot find \Windows\System32\hal.dll"

  • "Cannot find hal.dll"
The "missing or corrupt hal.dll" error displays shortly after the computer is first started. Windows XP has not yet fully loaded when this error message appears. CauseCauses of the "missing or corrupt hal.dll" error include, naturally, a damaged hal.dll DLL file or a hal.dll file that has been deleted or moved from its intended location.Additional causes may include a damaged or missing boot.ini file or possibly a physically damaged hard drive.

Please let me know you have any further questions or concerns.
Thanks.

RTHDCPL.EXE err

Error Message after Installing Security Updates 925902 and 928843 This afternoon (April 3rd, 2007) my Automatic Updates alerted me about a couple updates I needed to install, so I did. Upon rebooting the computer though I was confronted with the following error message
"RTHDCPL.EXE - Illegal System DLL Relocation"

"The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The Application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL."

Cause of Error Message

Turns out this error occurs when the Realtek HD Audio Control Panel by Realtek Semiconductor Corporation is installed. This is my built-in sound card on my computer.

The HHCTRL.OCX file that is included in the Security update 928843 and the User32.dll files that is included in Security Update 925902 have conflicting base addresses. When Windows loaded the HHCTRL.OCX file before it loads the User32.DLL file, the problem occurs.

The error occurs when the following third party programs or applications are installed on a computer with Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed.
Realtek HD Audio Control Panel
ElsterFormular 2006/2007
TUGZip
CD-Tag
Microsoft now has released a patch to correct the problems, you can go to the following link to download and install the patch for the patch :-)

OVTFBoot.dll

OK ya must be trying to install into Vista? anyway whats happening is ya NOT using Admin mode... and that DLL isn't being allowed to be put in the system32 dir... so disable UAC open admin prompt and find it, & copy .. so after ya install find the DLL on the install media .. then copy and paste it to ya windows\system32\ dir.. register it if reqiured should be all good.

Better still install properly with admin rights and such. GL

sounds like sound drivers.

Install this update to resolve an issue where the Realtek HD Audio Control Panel may not start after you install security update KB925902 (MS07-017) and security update KB928843 (MS07-008).
