PROBLEM F61 ON MY EQUIPMENT AND SHUT DOWN

F61 APPEAR ON MY PANASONIC SA-HT740, HOW TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM, IT START AND SHUT DOWN IN LESS THEN A MINUTE.
BEFORE I WAS CHANGING THE SPEAKER CABLES.

You possibly took out the output ic by crossing speaker wires or touch one to the case when the other was in the terminal. (turn off and unplug when moving speaker wires)

Before taking it in remove all wires unplug power cord wait 30 seconds and plug just the power cord and turn on. If it still goes to f61 it's going to most likely need the output ic replaced.
$70-90 labor and about $100 for the part.

    SB-WA730 5 disc DVD player Home Theater with F61 error. I took apart sub-woofer and inspected power supply. Found a burn't trace (flat conductor) on circuit board.

    Possibly due to a storm/lightning strike or power surge issue from using generator.

    Will repair the circuit board trace to see if it is a fix. Will report back if it corrected problem.

    Two IC's as mentioned in other forums STK470 090 (voltage regulater) & RSN311W64 (audio power module could be blown if speaker leads touched together..bad design!!) were found on eBay and wil be next step.

Hi i was hooking up my panasonic home theater with the power on i heard a sound and the power came try power it up went on display f61 and then shut off what seem to be the problem model...

Never hook up theater units with the power on, you need to have the fuse replaced in your unit. You need a trained tech. for this electrical problem.

Code f61

the f61 code is an audio code for panasonic first make sure all connections are correct and tight for spearkes...at the base if unit has base and with connections in back of unit and are fully in to connection terminal...make sure speakers are on and not on mute ...sometimes though you may have to re strip the wires to get into connection termianl in the back of the unit if that does not work call panasonic 1-800-211-PANA(7262) for more technical support
