Your problem is on PSU board. It`s in the middle when you open the back cover of the set. The board fixed with 8 screws . 3 crews (one on the left and 2 on the bottom) have small metal plates soldered in to the board. You have to unscrew it and clean the plates under it. The plates connected to the ground and must be screwed very well. Bad joint of the plates to the panel ground causes black screen problem.

Re: screen flashes black
Hi this is the way how to
examine what's wrong with your LCD monitors. After you turned it on and the
screen blacked out, you have to check that if you can see the image on the
screen or not by shining a flashlight into the screen, not directly but find
the best angle to the screen and take a look very closely. If you can see the
icons or any image, there will be a minor problem. This is because of the lamps
inside screen. Some of them were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you
cannot see anything on the screen, there'll be some problems with inverter
board. If you have soldering tool and want to fix it by
yourself, check the caps first. It may cause this problem. Some caps might show
leaking or burn spot on the board because of too high temp. If you don't have
soldering tool, you better go get a technician to do so. Hope this help!! If
anything I can help you with, feel free to let me know. Thank you,

If the HDMI input is failing you will need to ring Customer Support or Get a New TV because if its not outputting then The HDMI may not get Prosecced (sorry about spelling) And make sure you have checked its the Correct port and that there is no Blue-Tac or dust in the port ( that ussually solves this) If all else fails Use a Hairdyer and give it a Big clean :D
OK, you have to hit the FN (Function Key) + the F4 key to get the image to display on the TV. Press and hold the FN key then hit the F4 key and the image should appear on the tv if you have a VGA cable connected to the TV and to the HP Netbook.
Once you see your desktop on the tv you can get your files off my purchasing a USB Flash Drive of at least 8GB or 16GB (Just depends on how big your My Documents folde is). Then put the usb flash drive in the usb port and copy whatever files you want. Most of the things you want will probably be your documents, music, pictures and videos. These are normally found in the My Documents, My Pictures, My Music, My Videos folders. There is no need copying things like programs or other stuff because they will not work. They have to be installed thru the normal process to update the windows folders, settings and registry.
First you must clean connector contacts between plasma module and driver boards, if not solve the problem and continuing increment of wide red line, may be you must change plasma module to solve this problem,

Well, if the program is showing in color on the TV, then the TV is fine. If she's recording using a VCR, then I presume she doesn't have a cable box? If she doesn't have a cable box and has the cable from the wall going into the VCR and the VCR connected to the TV, then the problem is the VCR if the program appears in color when showing "live" on the TV but black and white when played back on the VCR. Does that make sense? Let me know if you understand what I'm telling you.
