Question about Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus Calculator

Will not respond at all@=!

My calculator could be turned on, but otherwise useless - no buttons could be pressed so the screen remained frozen. I tried changing the batteries but it would not work. This case happened to me before and I tried "bending" the calculator, which worked. But not now. Please help, I have an exam coming up!

I used an application and afterwards it froze my screen up. Does anyone know what to do?

My calculator turns on, numbers are displayed from my previous work on it, the cursor blinks like it normally would but none of the buttons work or respond at all with the exception of the on button initially. I have to take the batteries out to turn it off. What can I do?

Not responding at all! Keys, screen frozen, cannot even turn off. Not batteries.

I actually fixed mine!!!! The same thing happened to me. I found somewhere that the no/slow key response could be due to a short in the I/O socket. I blew into it really hard, (you may want to used compressed air, but I didn't have any onhand) and it works perfectly now!!!!!!! I hope this helps.

Mine turns on but no other keys respond so I can't try any of the suggestions. Is there some way to do a hard boot and start from scratch??

If no keys are responding, make sure that none of them are physically stuck in the 'pushed down' position.

Your ram might be full
2nd- mem(+) - mem mgmt/Del -
then either delete a program w/ delete key
or send an unstarred program to archive w/ enter key

I have the same problem. I can open it, but everything freezes. It's hard to do anything on it. I even sent it back and they gave me a "new one." But, it has the same problems as before. It's new, so theres enough ram. Solutions? Thank You for reading.

Ti-83 won't turn on

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

If the screen remains blank then please respond to this post and we'll go from there.

How to fix a none responsive button in hp 35s calculator

Resetting the Calculator
If the calculator doesn't respond to keystrokes or if it is otherwise behaving unusually, attempt to reset it. Resetting the calculator halts the current calculation and cancels program entry, digit entry, a running program, a SOLVE calculation, an ∫ FN calculation, a VIEW display, or an INPUT display. Stored data usually remain intact.

To reset the calculator, hold down the C key and press GTO . If you are unable to reset the calculator, try installing fresh batteries. If the calculator cannot be reset, or if it still fails to operate properly, you should attempt to clear memory using the special procedure described in the next section. If the calculator still does not respond to keystrokes, use a thin, pointed object to press the RESET hole.
The calculator can reset itself if it is dropped or if power is interrupted.

CLEARING the MEMORY

If the calculator fails to respond to keystrokes, and you are unable to restore operation by resetting it or changing the batteries, try the following MEMORY CLEAR procedure. These keystrokes clear all of memory, reset the calculator, and restore all format and modes to their original, default settings (shown below):
  1. Press and hold down the C key.
  2. Press and hold down the R/S key
  3. Press i (You will be holding three keys simultaneously)
  4. When you release all three keys, the display shows MEMORY CLEAR if the operation is successful.

My TI-84 Plus calculator won't work. It won't switch off by itself. When the batteries are reinserted, it says that all RAM has been cleared. When i press the 'ON' button again, the screen clears. but...

The Ram cleared message is normal after you change batteries. When you see this message you press the CLEAR button to erase it. You do not press the ON button again because the calculator is already ON. If you want to turn calculator OFF you press [2nd][ON] (OFF).

On certain calculators, pressing the ON button when calculator is already ON is interpreted as INTERRUPT the current command.

Screen frozen

Hello,
When you turn the machine down, it rests where you left it, in the state you left it: In case you wanted to continue with the same program, what you have already accomplished will not be lost.

After you turn it on, Press [2nd][QUIT] or just press the [HOME] button, and it will take you home.

Hope it helps

Ipod touch 8 gb. The screen is frozen

You must attempt to refresh your iPod Touch.

Hold the Sleep Button and the Home Button at the same time for 10 seconds. The screen turns off, wait for 5 seconds. Then hold the power button again until you see the Apple Logo. Wait for couple of seconds. Then your problem should resolved!

If this does not work, let me know. :).
