When you have this message, fault code F1 E2 Lost communication with power board, field service action is to verifiy the communication cable between the power board and the display board. It is very easy to fix, but have the service technician do it for you, since it is under warranty. Then I would recommend to ask the service technician to run the complete service test sequence while he is at your place (the controller can perform complete self diagnosis) and you will be sure everything is Ok.

I can tell you all units at Whirlpool are 100% tested at the factory and this could have been caused by vibration during transport. Once reconnected, you should be ok and happy.

Happy, since it's new, you should call them back. Lost communications has to do with the main board and power board. Try pressing cancel to clear the board. Then press cancel, cancel again then start. See if an error of F6-E4 shows on the display. If so, have them check the P-2 connector on the power board. Make sure it is seated properly. It's possible that a harness is just loose or it could be the main board is faulty. It's under warranty and you wouldn't want to void it by going in there yourself. You can also try killing the powe to it for 1 minute to try to reset it. Catriver.

Soyo k7v dragon plus motherboard continuous

Hi Jopav1,

At the age of *********** board, I would recommend physically looking at the board, in particular, the large upright capacitors. If the tops are bulging, or have anything leaking out of them, send the board to a recycler, and look for an exact replacement on the used market, or replace with new. I just bought the same board you have today for $25, with AMD 1800 CPU.

At 10 years of age, the battery is probably past due for replacement too. It is a standard CR2032 3Volt battery. If you replace it quickly, you may not loose your BIOS settings.

If you have a volt meter, you can check your power supply voltages. Again, your manual will show what voltages to expect at each power connector pin. A range of +/- .05V is generally allowable on all sources.

Also try unplugging all boards and powering it up. The beep should change to a sequence of 2-1-3-1 beeps, indicating that it's not able to see the video card. If you still only get a repeated long beep, It's possible that the CPU itself may have died. These are also available very cheap at this point. The fact that you are getting a cycling beep indicates to me that the CPU is OK though.

I looked up beep patterns and did not find anything for one long repeating beep for the Phoenix BIOS on your board. There is no mention of them in the Soyo manual either.

Last resort is resetting your BIOS settings to "First Birthday", and try again. This will require you to re-set any manual settings you had set previously (probably 10 years ago). This is done by moving the jumper located between the green LED, and the battery, to the two pins nearest the LED, for a second, and then back to the position nearest the battery.

Good luck

We just bought a ps3 yesterday, it worked last night to watch a movie and then we got a new tv today and it gives audio but no video.

It sounds like since you need to try resetting the video settings. When switching between HDMI and AV or changing TVs, you can get a blank screen. Try these steps to reset it:
1. Make sure console is turned off completely(red light in front should not be on)
2. Hold down power button and then turn on back power switch.
3. Listen for first beep
4. Listen for second beep
5. After you hear the second beep let go
The screen should appear. And remember, this will have to be done anytime you change TVs or change between HDMI and AV. Hope this was the problem and that it helps.

Every few seconds digital display show F 1 and start beeping please help me with this problem

Probably a bad connection from the touchpad to the control. Unplug the range. Open the control panel. Unplug the ribbon. Plug the range back in. If it beeps, replace the control. If not, replace the touchpad.
