Deleting Leapster 2 profile names

Hold down the following buttons at the same time: Left Arrow-Home-A Button. Then touch the X icon that appears at the bottom of the screen and follow the audio instructions. You can only delete a name when all 3 name slots are filled.

I am guessing you have all 3 spots filled and need to delet one. HOLD DOWN in sequence HOME + A + Left Arrow. So you have to hold all 3 buttons and then the X shows up. I was able to then delete the Sign In name I wanted.

Sorry but no, there is no way to remove a player name from the software. However, right from Leapster's website:
Home (The "Home" button is the first button on the front left side of your Leapster2)

Left arrow

Works like a charm.

To delete a player profile, go to the player profile screen and press and continue to hold down the following buttons in sequence: Home A button Left arrow Then, touch the X icon that appears at the bottom of the screen and follow audio instructions. Remove the game cartridge, while holding down the button with the "?" turn the unit on. Then the screen should tell you to press the "A" to calibrate the stylus. Finish the calibration by touching the crosshair when it appears. After I did this everything was fine. Good luck ....thaks to Nicksdad who posted this response to a previous post. Worked for me...try it.

The above procedure only works on LEAPSTER 2.

1- Add new players until there are three players on the cartridge.

This is a design flaw with leapsters games (apparently nobody thought to think that they do get sold secondhand or passed down in families)

We had a similar problem leapster turned on but would not let us chose a name for sign in. We held down the ? button when switching on then wen tthrough the stylus calibration and re-bootted. All started working again. Hope this helps
