Go to the Realtek website and download the latest driver for AC'97. Click on this link:

Accept the agreement and click on the "Next" button. Download the software to your computer. Uninstall any previous driver software through Control Panel and then install this new driver. My Acer 5002WLMi works great with Windows7 installed. I upgraded my memory to 2GB as well. Got memory from Crucial.com's website.
