The battery is not keeping a charge. I just got a new battery a month ago but the light has been staying yellow.

did you try replacing the power cord? This may help. I would try also to connect the laptop to different sources of power, load the battery through different sockets.

also, check your power saving settings, this may be affective. there are a few programs which can help you save power smartly.
