The front right speaker channel on my Samsung HT-AS720ST Theater System has continuous static making a "snap, crackle, and pop" noise. I've checked the speaker and wire and have narrowed it down to the channel. Is there anything that I can do internally to alleviate this issue without having to send the unit off for 3-6 weeks to Samsung?
Our started cracking and popping this morning. It seems from all the posts that it is always the right front speaker. With that kind of trend it can be traced back to mfg. Is there a recall, are they covering the cost?
This is not a solution!
Mine did the exact same thing with the right speaker crackling and popping, and now the treble has gone down, the bass is ok but the treble is low so it's mostly bass no matter how low I turn the bass down or how high I turn the treble up! I called Samsung and they won't do anything about it unless it's still under warranty which is pathetic that they make something that cost that much and that model has had the same issue with so many people that bought it but yet they will not take responsibility and fix or replace it, I will never buy another samsung product ever and I will persuade anyone I can to do that same!!!

This
is a common problem on this model. The fault is caused by the PULSUS PS9829B
digital audio processor. We ordered it in from a Samsung authorized service
centre. If you have never tried working with surface-mount ICs I would
skip it if I were you. This IC has over 100 pins on it. Print out this solution
and bring it with your receiver into a service centre. If they can do
surface-mount work they can repair this fault.
I have the same EXACT problem..I paid alot of money for it and this would be the second repair issue and I've owned it a year..

I'd like to know where you guys live. Because here in California, these chumps won't touch anything for less than $75 an hour.
