Kyocera yaschica ez digital 4030 MEMORY CAR...

I recently purchased an Scan Disk 2.0gb memory card for the above camera. When I turned the camera on after putting in the new card, an message came up, telling the cards was unformatted and did I want to format it. I pushed the OK button and the camera got about half way through formatting the card ( you can very briefly see a progress indicator, as it flashes up on the camera's diplay screen
) when an error message comes up saying "unable to format. The card appears to be OK. attn DBARCHITECT
