Blank Screen I've got a Toshiba laptop; as I'm about to run a "recovery disc", I accidentally press "F1" instead of "F2" for set up, then suddenly, the screen turn to "blank", no display at all. so I try to connect the VGA terminal to a monitor, but the output is still a "blank screen"

Per the internet site, it depends upon the model of laptop. Here are some examples:

The most common Access Bios key is the "DEL" button or "F2". This depends on the laptop model, however, and can be confusing if you do not know which key to press.

Bootmgr is missing

That is unfortunate, the recovery disc is the only option at this point to reload the operational system. Go online to Toshiba and contact customer support and the technical department to see if you can purchase a recovery disc for your make and model.

How to reset a toshiba satellite a135-s4527

You may reset the password on your own.

Windows Password Recovery is right what you need in your case. The password recovery tool is designed to reset Windows login password once you accidentally forgot it or have no access to your system including Windows 7, Vista, XP etc. By burning a bootable CD, you can enter almost any computer with Windows administrator login password protected within a few seconds. Here are the step by step tutorial, pretty easy, I am sure you can handle it!

Step 1: Download Windows Password Recovery and install it on another computer.
Step 2: Prepare a blank CD/USB and run the software and use it to burn the ISO file to it.
Step 3: Put it into the CD-ROm and restart your locked computer. Change the BIOS setting of your locked computer to make it boot from the CD-ROM or USB drive. Note: start computer and press F2 or Delete to enter BISO setup
Step 4: Boot your locked computer from the created disk and remove your forgotten password. GOOD LUCK!

How to reset to factory settings a toshiba satellite A305-S6829 with Vista ? (pressing 0, or F8 didn't bring me far!

To access the Toshiba recovery partition, power off the laptop. Hold down the 0 (zero) key and turn the laptop on. Keep holding down the zero key until the TOSHIBA logo appears, where you should start tapping the zero key repeatedly. Stop if the unit beeps or when the TOSHIBA logo disappears. The screen should flash ** HDD RECOVERY MODE ** for a split second, then load the Toshiba recovery program right from the hard drive.

Note that this erases all data, and reloads all factory default software. Be sure to back up all your important personal data beforehand!

I am trying to format my acer aspire 5735z laptop. I try it with my recovery disc but its not happening, i am trying by putting disc and pressing f2 even but when i go to boot menu and try to press cd/dvd...

Hi,

To change the bootable device you need to go to bios setting. Depending on your computer make and model the way to go to bios could be different though generally you can go to bios by continuously tapping on F1 or F2 or F9 or F10 or F11 etc The moment you press the power button and you see flashing brand scree like dell, hp etc. start tapping on F1 or F2 or F9 or F10 or F11 only one key at a time.

The best option is to install any version of windows is to use Wintobootic search and download it on a computer. Use any storage device like external hard disk or pen drive. make sure the storage device is completely blank when you make it bootable. insert your windows CD and Open wintobootic, select source and make bootable storage device.
