Question about Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router
I am a student at Tshwane university of technology,I have a project to install and configure a WRT 54G broadband router,may you please haelp me with the necessary point to point steps on how I can go about doing this.

Cable out of wall to modem, or phone line out of wall to modem, depending on dsl or broadband( phone line is dsl- cable is broadband)phone cord from modem to router , 1nd ethernet cord from router to pc, then run cd that came with router (wrtg) is a (linksys wireless router-works great) and follow on screen prompts, works perfect! use usb wireless adapter to eliminate ethernet cord . (netgear usb wireless adapter) works great.!

Please see my response to this question. Your university's connection is most probably a LAN connection, so you'd need to follow the instructions as if you had a cable internet connection (unlike DSL, a LAN connection and cable internet connection don't require authentication with the ISP).
