Cannot receive BBC1 or BBC2 since the switchover with Durabrand DPVR801 freeview recoder. I read on another forum that a software update which was available earlier this year via the BBC WOULD have fixed it. Mine is running software version 5.3, whatever that means. I have tried automatic scans, manual scans on channel 62 but there's no signal showing. I have 2 much older freeview boxes that I substituted - and they work fine. Also tried a 'first time installation' several times to no avail. The unit was purchased from ASDA in March '07 and has been great till the switchover. Please don't tell me that I will have to 'recycle' it!

So you think I'm gonna answer my own question then tell you how I did it, so that you can then CHARGE someone else for MY answer?! I don't think so! An excellent 'service' you have here - I DON'T think.
