if you can get to dest top do a restore. if not you will need to repair windows. you will need the factory disk or the windows os that you were running. using your disk do a system repair. ( note a system repair does not erase your data.

One of your registry hives is corrupt.
There is a way to fix that. I'm going to be posting the solution on my website soon, but in the meantime, Google "corrupt registry hive," and get directions to fix it.
Or do a Windows Repair if you have a Windows CD that will let you do that.
