Remote control sensor detached from board on Proxima X350

I opened my Proxima X350 because I was having problems with the fan (mentioned by others here: green blinking light and shut down in 30 seconds). When I opened it up, though, I accidentally knocked off the remote sensor pin. This is the piece with 10 pins (5 on each side) soldered to the board that the remote control sensor plugs into. I am going to try to resolder it on without reapplying an solder (use the existing solder on the board). Unfortunately, I don't know which orientation to solder it on. There are 2 asymmetrical holes on the bottom, but I'm not sure how to use this. I can send pictures if anyone can help me with this issue. I have not tried to turn it on after the piece came off because I've been afraid I'll toast the board. Will it fry if I try to turn it on? Best case scenario is that have to use the keypad and can't use the remote and replacing the fans work well. Thank you.
