Probably too late but he first thing to don in that sit. is rinse the phone in a 75/25 solution of alcohol and water. then open up as you did and let it dry. if you can see water on the display screen your probably out of luck but keep it warm and dry for a few days and see what happens.

I just dropped my Katana version one in the bath HELP

I'm sorry to tell you this but the phone is a goner.  You need to replace it.  As no amount of cleaning will render it reliable again.
Most phone companies have good deals and cheap phones.
When you receive advice from this website you have to understand that without the item in front of us, we are only able to provide "a best guess" as to what the problem might be based on you description of the defect.  If you haven't described a clear and precise description of the defect you decrease the chances of an accurate reply.  Thank you.

you need to send it to be opened and the board cleaned before it gets more corrosion on the ships and then for sure it will not be good

Submerged phone - can it be fixed?

If you let the phone sit and dry out (this can take days) you can often keep using it. the key is to make sure it's not connected to a battery or AC adapter. The presence of electricity, even if the phone is off, can cause serious problems with the internal hardware.

Katana II likely water damage... Help!

Take the battery off, unfold the phone, set it in a warm, dry place and pray like heck. plugging it in may help it stay warm but leave it off.
If its minor water exposure it'll likely be fine in 2-3 days.

Dropped in Toilet

See if it will turn on when you remove battery and plug it into your charger. If it will you could recover the numbers with the Motorola software or the Carrier could.

You dealt smartly with liquid dropped cell phone. Water and salt badly effects cell phone's battery and display. You have samrtly saved your phone but i must say that your effected display is ruined and needs to replace. You can replace it by contacting skilled techncian near you. There is not another way and i m sorry to say that. Ask fixya for servicemen arround you.
