Do you want to know why it will not run after someone overloaded it? Probably blew a fuse.
There is 99.99% chance there is a fuse inside and there is a 1.99 % chance of finding its replacement. You can find something that will work in its place, however. It will only take a little imagination.
Still, you asked the question ... I don't have a schematic however, they are simple machines. There is a motor and a motor controller. On/Off switch, Overload switch. Sensor switch. Reverse switch. There is not much repair work you can do to the controller.
I probably didn't have the answer you wanted but I hope this encouragement will help you to get your machine working again.

My HP Officejet 6310xi All-in-One displayed a ''power reset'' error message and all the lights were flashing. I went to the HP tech support website and followed their instructions: pressing the power button once to turn it off and again to turn it back on. All that happened is the words ''warming up'' appeared on the LCD screen for half a second and then it went blank and the camera icon started flashing. I tried this several times, even plugging into a wall outlet instead of a surge protector. I waited a day and tried again several times. At this point, the HP tech support website simply says ''if you are still experiencing a problem, service your product''. What's going on? Is there any fix for this?

Refilled the X2580 cartridge and the printer still reads low ink, but keeps on printing. Until...the printer says it is empty and will not print even thought it has been refilled. How can you make the printer read a refilled cartridge?
