My reasonably new (less than 3 months old) TI-89 randomly shut off and will not turn back on. I removed the batteries and put them back in and it resumed for thirty seconds, then shut back off. Batteries are new, and it was working fine literally a minute ago, until I laid it down to write a problem. Next thing I know my calculator is dead. Now, I have a space heater turned on, and the room tempurature is now 86 degrees. Would heat affect the function?
