We have a GE GSH25JSTSS Whenever we use the in door ice dispenser it dispenses the cubes, but also sprays ice chips in all directions and we have to wipe up the floor every time we use it. Is there a piece missing perhaps that may guide the ice to the glass better?

you have ice buildup in the ice crusher, take the ice bin out and let it thaw in the sink over night, make sure to dry the wholr thing well before putting it back in
