Question about IBM ThinkPad T41 Notebook
I have a laptop T41 IBM thinkpad its moniter goes off after some minutes of working or when I use the keyboard but all other parts working normaly, I tried external monitor it is same.I should turn it off and back on again in order to see things on the screen. I'll appreciate if you can help me to solve this problem. Thank you in advance
Install the Active Protection System Software. The Accelerometer (yes - a movement detection system - like a Wii controller) doesn't know what to do without the software installed and just shuts the system off. With the software running, that problem goes away.
I really wish IBM had put something at the BIOS level that would display "SHOCK PROTECTION SYSTEM ACTIVATED" so you know what's going on instead of a random blank screen. Oh well - that's up to Lenovo now.

Saw exactly the same think on another t41 i was trying to fix. If it was moved at all screen went off.
Turned out it was corrosion on the motherboard that was causing the problem.
Has it been liquid damaged or got damp in the past?
