Re: cdx-620s willnot power up

No there's just one 12v positive and a negative on the white plug, these units were prone to dry joints on the power supply board so if you strip the unit down and unscrew the power supply board which is screwed to the chasis and look around the white plug connector and also the bus lead connector beside it, you may find that it needs resoldering, hope this helps you!

How do I remove cds from a pioneer 12 disc changer with no power?

You can remove the CD's with no power just use a pin to open the CD drive. you can see the a small reset hole to open the drive. You just insert the pin to the small hole and push now you can pull the drive slowly to open and remove the CD's.

Sony CDX-M600R car radio CD: Radio does not work, CD player OK and all other funtions OK. When in radio mode can hear white noise but no transmitions. I have the same problem. No sound on AM section and FM...

Don't know if you have an external antenna or one mounted in windshield but you should be able to find the coaxial heading towards the back of the radio. Make sure that it is plugged into the radio.

CDX changer has power but doesn't want to eject after flat battery

i resolved this myself in the end.
I unplugged the audio & power cables whilst the stereo and engine was running.
Then plugged back in.
I turned the engine off and stereo off as well.
I then unplugged audio and power again from the back of the CDX, left it unplugged for 10 minutes whilst the engine was still off.
I then plugged the leads back in and turned the engine on. the stereo recognised the CDX, but stayed on displaying "CD Checking". I switched to radio for 20 seconds, turned back to CDX and it selected CD 1 and has been good ever since.

I'm rather pleased with myself!

No sound

It's very likely that you have a factory amplifier in the vehicle that needs to be either turned on or (preferably) bypassed to get sound to the speakers. If your vehicle is a Mustang, it's almost certain that you have a factory amp. If the factory plug includes a long, 8-pin gray plug and a small, square 8-pin plug connected to a round cable, then the amp turn-on wire is at the opposite end of the gray plug from the constant power wire. This needs to be connected to the blue/white wire on the Sony head unit for the factory amp to turn on. Otherwise, if you dig into the radio cavity a little bit, you'll find a black 8-pin connector that looks very similar to the gray connector at the back of the radio. The black connector pins are connected directly to the speakers, bypassing the factory amp.
