Tail light fuse blowing

I tried taking out all the lights and tried blowing out the fuse block to make sure there is no water but I still keep blowing my tail light fuse. Any thing I should check first off like maybe I am missing something. Or is there a common occurrence with this?

If it has a towing package harness,it might be in it.Remove all the tail light bulbs, and put a new fuse in to see if the fuse will blow.If it does, check the head light switch ,and the dimmer for the dash lights for a short. If the fuse does not blow, with all the bulbs out then look for a bad light socket shoring ,out,by putting one bulb in at a time, and when the fuse blows, that will be the socket that is bad.

2002 Subaru Outback. I replaced the headlamps on my car and now the fuse keeps blowing for the tail lights. Any advice please?

There are a few potential causes for the fuse blowing on the tail lights of your 2002 Subaru Outback after replacing the headlamps:
  1. Faulty wiring: The wiring for the tail lights may have been damaged during the headlamp replacement process, causing a short circuit and causing the fuse to blow.
  2. Faulty tail light assembly: The tail light assembly itself may be faulty and causing the fuse to blow.
  3. Incorrect fuse: Make sure you are using the correct size and type of fuse for the tail lights. Using the wrong fuse can cause it to blow.
To troubleshoot the issue, you can start by checking the wiring for any damage or loose connections. You should also inspect the tail light assembly for any damage or issues. If you are unable to find the problem, you may need to consult with a mechanic or dealership technician for further assistance. They will have the necessary tools and expertise to properly diagnose and repair the issue.

Tail light fuse 10 amp keeps blowing,

First make sure the tail light fixtures aren't full of water. After that check the bulb sockets for rust and corrosion. After that chase the power wire and see where it is shorted to ground.

Tail lights

Consider what you have changed when stereo was installed. Using existing wiring is not like it used to be. The electronics has changed that. Going from fuse block is not a good thing.
Try undoing and examining wiring for damage and consider routing from battery. Cables are available for extra wiring from the battery.
