I have a Mitsubishi Projection TV Model# WS-55857. The problem is that when I turn on the TV, all I can see is a flickering blue screen. This problem is the same on all the inputs. The sound does not seem to be effected however and works fine. What is strange though is that the TV menu screen comes up just fine. Also, in the menu screen it has a small picture box at the top of the screen that displays a small version of the movie you are watching. This small picture box shows the movie just fine but when you turn off the menu screen it goes back to the flickering blue screen. This problem usually goes away after a few minutes and you can watch a movie just fine without the problem ever coming back. It only seems to be a problem when you first turn the TV on. Also, I?ve recently noticed that if I turn on the DVD player first and then the TV, the flickering blue screen does not occur on the input for the DVD. It does however still flicker on all the other inputs. Then when I turn off the DVD player, it sometimes will go back to the flickering blue screen. Any ideas on what might be the problem? Do I just have a bad solder connection somewhere? With a little direction as to what to look for, I?m willing to try any repairs myself. I?ve already successfully replaced the convergence chips in this TV without a problem. Thanks for the help.

Every once in a while my Mitsubishi WS-65869 loses it's color a little and it starts to look like an old fashioned picture. Is there an IC chip or two to replace?
