Problem for Memorex MVD2113 13 in. TV/DVD Combo

I get a black rectangle on the screen only during shows not during commercials and only at night time. Tried turning off closed captioning(wasn't on but tried that anyway) If I turn the channel or mute or turn up/down volume it goes away for about 3 seconds and comes back. Its actually a mvd2009cb model. it wouldn't let me post that way.
