On my l355-s7811 Satellite,the plastic spindle that holds the DVDs in place, fell apart then finally came off the metal spindle. Can it be replaced?

No the maximum it will support is 2gb

You need to have the pins tested to see if the notebook is still sending a current to charge the battery. Take to a electroic shop and ask them to test the battery pins in the battery compartment. They will know how much current is needed to charge the battery. If the current is not their or not enough, you will have to send your notebook in for repairs. The Motherboard will need to be replaced.

you need the DVD RW software on your computer. (DVD ReWriter) you need the company or a reputable computer place to do that.

what model tecra? some have a recovery partition, either hold 0 during startup or call toshiba for the recoveries. they run about 25 bucks

The only thing that can be done is system restore to factory default and remember to backup your documents.

This is the only way to resolve the problem you are going through.

When you installed the system, you entered a BIOS password.
There is nothing you can do to bypass that password. The only solution is to take laptop to Toshiba Certified Service Center to have password disabled.
