Question about Philips HDD1630 MP3 Player

Cannot access all the Music that I have downloaded

I recently charged my Philips Go gear 6 GB MP3 player. When I went to access the music (Artist/Playlist/Album) it reads that all the list are empty. When I go to the computer and open the files (My Computer) it tells me that all the music is there. I have tried to format the Hard drive on the MP3, I have deleted all the music and then re-sync the player again, but i still have the same problem. After re-sync the computer tells me all the music is there, but the MP3 still says List Empty - Can you help?

P.S. The strange thing is that all the recordings that I have made from the FM radio - I can access and they won't delete. Please help

    I was using my Gogear while on a trip. When I got home from the airport, I turned it off and did touch it for days. 3 days later, I turn it on and it says that my list is empty. When I connect it to my computer, it says that all my music is on it and that I only have 1 GB left of space... yet, I can't access any of it from the device. Strange. If anyone can help, I will love you forever!

    My Philips GoGear 6GB player has a problem. The list is empty but i just put brand new music on the MP3 player and it was fine until, i tried to upload the music on to another computer but we couldn't find out how to because his computer didn't aven have Musicplayer on it... So we gave up.... But, the crazy thing is that the list is now empty and i have tryed to delete the songs and then re-load them but then it did the same thing right after i turned it off.... If anyone has a solution to this problem then please post it.

Make sure you back up all songs on the GoGear before attempting this solution.

1) Back up all files on the GoGear
2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

Now you can do the firmware upgrade that will prevent this problem from occuring in the future. Open up Philips Device Manager and click the Update tab. This problem was caused because most GoGear's were designed for Windows XP with Media Player 10 (which is no longer the latest standard).

This player cannot play mp4 files only mp3 files. When the files are copied to the MP3 player the computer can play the mp4 files from the MP3 player but when you play these mp4 files straight from the MP3 Go Gear it cannot see or play these files.

I want to remove a artist from my playlist


if you dont like the artist or music albums name to be appearing in the display(which is sometime annoying)the trick is here.drag and drop your songs and mp3 lists into the player just like basic copy and paste in windows.the name of the album and artists appear in the display only if you synchronize your player with the computer using players(like real,Wmv etc).
so go for the basic copy and paste instead of synchronizing option.please let me know your feedback.

Software application "Creative Centrale"
This software can be used for:
1. Ripping audio CD's: transferring from audio into mp3.
2. Making playlists.
3. Edit tag properties like Artist; Album; Genre; Year.

A User's Guide is hidden in the Zen MX Starter Pack 1.14.03, called Creative Centrale.
This download ZENMX_PCApp_E6_1_14_03.exe is about 15 MB sized.
The execute file can be started after download and will install Creative Centrale: The User's Guide can be accessed selecting the question mark in the top of Creative Centrale.

Iriver e100 will not recognize artist/album


I too has this problem but if you search by Dir list you'll be able to see all artists and then select the able you require. Hope this works for you

Organization


In the music menu, there is an option to search by Artist or Album as long as you have at least one song on the player that has an ID3 tag that lists the song's artist or album. Those are the only way of organizing the songs on this particular player.
