Will I get Tv without having cable in February

I believe that this set (CM27101) is old enough to NOT have the ATSC tuner. This means that you WILL require a converter if you intend to use either rabbit ears or a rooftop antenna. If you intend to continue cable or use a satelite service, no converter will be necessary.

Is the tv that I have bought about 6 years ago ready for DTV?

6 year old tv probably not digital ready. The converter box will work if tv is on channel 3 and you use a UHF antenna. Most converter box connections have 75 ohm connectors, your tv may have the round connector to accept the input signal. If you have screw on terminals on the tv you will have to go to Home Depot or Lowes and get a matching transformer to go between the tv and the converter box. UHF antenna can be made out of a coat hanger. Just make a circle clean the paint off ends and attach. Or just buy a digital booster antenna at WalMart.

Digital to analog converter box hookup

You will have to go to Radio Shack or Wall Mart, maybe Home Depot and get a matching transformer. That will have spade terminals on one end to connect to your tv and a round (75ohm male thread) to hook to your converter box.

Digital Transition

If this a digital ready TV, you won't need a converter box at all.
If not, the converter box is designed to work with all TV's.

Converter box

Any Anolog tv should accept a converter box. Just set the tv to channel 3 or 4 to pick up the signal from the converter box.
