Try Raising the antenna and then press the reset button when the C330 is on,this should restore the garmin, then: Make sure the C330 is fully charged and
I would try updating the C330 by connecting to to a usb port on your computer and then downloading Garmin Communicator. If that does not help then try contacting Garmin. I will attach a link to Garmin customer support. thanks for using FixYa

Can you replace the battery in a garman c330

You can indeed replace the battery for this unit. There are four black screws to remove to seperate the case. Garmin charge up to $150 for an original battery - however see link below for information on what the battery looks like and you can order the battery from this company for around $25.

Hope this helps.

Can I replace the battery in my c330. Will not

Yes...... but keep in mind, it's not easy.
Step 1 remove the face.
Step 2, remove the screws. There are 4, one in each corner
Step 3, The hardest part. You can pull the unit apart with ease, but I must stress, keep note of the antenna which is at the top of the Garmin unit. Slightly open the unit like a hing with the top being the hing so you can take note of the antenna and how it sits. If you don't pay attention, you may not be able to put the unit back together.
Once you make the necessary notes, the unit comes apart as you can see here. There are two screws holding the battery.
The only problem here is that the plug housing the wires to the battery also hold the wiring to the Garmin speakers. Even though you can remove the plug, you will need to splice in the new battery. You can get these on Ebay.

No satdallights signal

When changing out the battery, you may have pinched one of the wires on the antenna board or it's not mounted correctly.

Try taking it apart again and checking the wires. There are only two of them on the antenna part.

Dead battery on Garmin StreetPilot c330

The silver faceplate snaps off (there is a tab at the top of the screen); remove the silver faceplate, remove the 4 screws to open the unit. The battery is located on the back half, and is conected to the circuit cards with a balck and red wire through a small connector that also as two brown and white wires for the speakers.

Garmin c330 battery replacement

The 3 wires are because the unit has a pcb on the battery which prevents over charging or shuts it off if the voltage falls too low. You can either use the pcb which is attached to the outside of the original battery (cut off the unit and reattach to the new battery with electrical tape) then solder the red and black wires to the appropriate Garmin wires or order a battery with built in pcb, If you do this, the green wire is not used, just solder the red and black wires from the plug-in connector to the new battery. It worked on my C330.

How to install new battery in Garmin Streetpilot c330

After you remove the bezel on the front you will see 4 small phillips head screws, remove those.... While opening, pay close attention to how the built in antenna comes out, it will make it easier when putting it back together,

Garmin StreetPilot C330 GPS Battery

Remove front bezel by lifting just under the GARMIN name. Remove the 4 outer screws. Gently pull apart. Keep in mind the orientation of the antenna as it's a bit tricky to put back. The battery is mounted between the two speakers.

It's a round cylinder item attached to the main board by a plug. Problem is this plug also houses the connection to the speakers. If you are good at rewiring, cut the battery leads and reconnect them to the new battery. Not sure where to get the battery though.

When putting back the antenna, keep note of the tabs. The lower one remains on the outside of the shelf guide, and the upper one is on the inside of the shelf guide.b0d8aad.jpga47c0e7.jpg2a171e3.jpg
