Problem for JVC DR-M1 DVD Recorder
Exploding STR G6653

Hi, I would be very grateful if you could give me advice on the following :-
When i turned on my J.V.C. DR-M1SLB DVD Recorder the STR G6653 Flyback power regulater exploded, blowing half it's face off where the Drain and Source (legs 1&2) are connected. Can you tell me if and where I can purchase a replacement G6653 in Ireland and what other components may be known to contribute to this components failure. Also if this is a common fault with above DVD-Recorder.
