I get a carrage jam error when i first start the printer. there are no jams and no print jobs processing. I hit OK and it pulls ALL the paper thru. Turning the printer off/on and doing a factory reset does not help. Is it a lost cause or can i open it up and try some things myself? I am capable of fixing certain things on printers but don't know how to open it up. Can u help?
Thanks,
RO

-   I've taken out all print cartridges, looked at the paper path, taken out back door to inspect...nothing works. I can gently move the print carriage and it moves fine. Printer is only a few months old.-   aandream

We had the same problem. Our printer hand't jumped a gear, but when we slid the carrige from the right side to the left we discovered a small piece of paper crumpled up against the right inside wall of the printer keeping the carrige from going all the way to the right and causing the error message.
This can be many things, but inspect the paper path for anything stuck. remove the cartridges with printer off and see if you can manually move the carriage you may need to force it a little but not allot, sometimes it may jump a gear causing this error.
move the carriage away from home position and turn on, the printer should reset the carriage position.

I have a OKI C5200. After spilling the Cyan toner (which was vacuumed out of printer) The Magenta colour stopped working. Now if I print red, it just comes out yellow. I have replaced the toner and the drum, but it is still the same. I have also cleaned the printer heads - any suggestions??
