My playstation 2 is now giving me an error message

my playstation 2 is now giving me an error message that it can not auto save and i must save manually. the problem is that my 2 games tekken 5 and grand theft auto dont' have that option. how can i fix this?

thats the way grandtheft auto his you have to save it manually when you go to your safe house when you finish a mission
