The problem may have been caused by the Vertical Filter Capacitors located in the immediate area of the deflection chip. If this is the case, and the chip you replaced was bad, you may infact, have another bad chip. You need to check for a shorted capacitor before rechanging the chip again. Good Luck

I have a thin line in my tv and i dont know what ic no.to replace?

The fault is a failure of the deflection circuit and since you have not specified whether it is a vertical or an horizontal line the section failed will be related to the position of the line.
If horzontal the vertical IC or the section related is faulty and if Vertical the horizontal section., Now this can be the deflection IC, teh deflection coils or even discrete components like capacitors or resisitors in this section which will require a signal trace with a voltage test before the absence of the sync pulses are confirmed and the section identified.
I request not to change the IC unless it is proved but you can solder the vertical IC or the section concerned -- if there is dry soldering.

Sir.3#lang sa gitna sa ibabaw nito paliit na horizontal sana matulungan po ninyo ako

You will need to resolder the vertical IC and replace three capacitors that are near or next to the vertical IC. This will restore you television. If you must do the repair I suggest having someone replace the starting capacitor or capacitors in the the horizontal deflection section of the TV as well. The values in the deflection may be 160 or 200 volts at 1Mf and 160 volts at 4.7 Mf. You will correct two problems in one repair. Your TV will last a few more years. Thanks for asking!

TV has a line across middle from left to right

It depends what part was damaged in Horizontal section. Here in Philippines labor costs for this size of TV is ranging from $50 to $150.

Flat line on Toshiba tube tv

It could be the vertical output IC, but there may be other possible causes which include:

- bad solder contacts on deflection yoke connectors or dirty connector contacts (on the circuit board and / or on the picture tube neck)

- bad solder contacts on the vertical output IC or associated components (check for little cracks in the solder around the pins, these are so called "cold" or bad / broken contacts)

- power loss to the vertical output IC - check for any burned resistors or other components around that IC, assuming you know which one it is - see which ICs are connected to the wires going to the deflection yokes (coils) on the picture tube neck and check them well.

You need to resolder any bad contacts, clean any dirty pins on the connectors and replace any burnt out components (assuming you can still determine the type or value of the component).

Since you mentioned the problem occurs once in a while, this means that the IC probably fails when it warms up, which can often happen if there are loose connections or bad solder contacts.

Anyway, it could turn out to be a faulty IC, i just suggested a few other things that can be fixed quite easily, and possibly without the need to replace any of the components.

Vertical line in center have replaced vertical output ic

If the line is vertical then the problem is no horizontal deflection. The vertical chip is probably fine.

Check connections around yoke (thats the connector with at least four wires that goes up to the coils around the neck of the tube)

Maybe that TV has two horizontal output transistors. One for deflection and one for high voltage? Check both of them. Look for bad solder joints!!!

Sharp 25" tv unknown model (no av in)

It is a simple trouble, tv has got dry solder joints in the vertical deflection circuit. Resolder vertical output ic pins and related components, this will be okay.

20 inch T.V.

You have a bad vertical output IC, or the sweep power supply that drives the IC is bad. Your going to need the service schematic diagram and the know how to fix solid state electronics.
