Printer Error! open and clear the carriage jam Printer catridge carriage stalled.

Hello,
This can be said as a bit complicated problem. This problem is exhibited by the printer when the cartridge carriage mechanism is getting stuck at some end. I should advice that you make sure that the SS ( Service Station ) of the printer is not jammed / clogged. If yes, try cleaning it. It is also caused when the motor is malfunctions and tries to move the carriage beyond the path that it should go.
It is best recommended that you consult an authorized HP Service person for the solution of this issue.

Open cartridge door. Put very thin oil on the carriage shaft(silver bar that runs through the catridge holder) on either sides of the cartridges .

I think the message is instructions, as in
(1) open door (2) clear carriage jam (3) press enter
So there is something internal to the printer that makes it think it has a carriage jam, piece of paper under a sensor, dirty or stuck sensor.
If you can't find it using a bright light, try canned air.

if you pulled the paper out of a jam and it was not done correclty
5100 is a Carriage Home Position Error.
try cleaning the plastic strip that runs the length of the carriage, it may be contaminated.
Use alcohol and a swab.
Check the lever for the catridge. sometime the catridge does sit properly in the carriage and it will hitt the side of the front cover when it moves. Push the catridge in place to try solve the problem.

In this case unplug the power supply from the Printer........... 1. Open the Printer Cover.......... 2. Remove both the Catridges from the Printer............ 3. Move the Catridge Carrier which holds the catridge from right to left and from left to right for about 10 times............ 4. Try to make a copy without the catridges........If this works and it gives a Blank Page out............ 5. Insert both the catridges turn the printer off and turn it on again........... 6. Now it should work fine........ Good Luck......

I suppose never use a refilled catridge need to check the catridge for any damage and also check the sensor of the printer , incase the sensor is damaged you hear a loud noise.
