Re: lg 22 " monitor

This is called Burn In or LCD residue. Normal wear on monitors. To save this from happening quicker, when the monitor is not being used, just press the monitor power button and shut the screen down instead of using the screen saver. You can still leave the computer running, when your ready to use it again just turn on the power button to the monitor.

After replacing screen there is a grayish look during light hours

you replaced the inside LCD screen?
i guess there is a full story here, but...?????
light hours,?
you mean with windows open and the screen goes gray?

some monitors and tv's do that, now. called GREEN MODE.
turn it off. My stupid TV (LG) goes gray with a reading lamp on.
silly to the extreme that. Im sure yours is not with a room light sensor, but do RTM.
as you know , the screen is black lighted.
and old screens (2005 it is) do get gray and other effects.
my old view sonic, (now on server duty, off mostly)
has dim and yellow back lamps.and the LCD has age effects.
this is all 100% normal for 8 years, full time service,
in fact lucky it works at all. truth being.

elaborate what you see better may be we can hone in on the reasons. and the what you touched inside.

LG L222WS half bottom screen white

There is a problem with the capacitors in your monitor. This is a normal problem these days with flat screen monitors, I am trying to find out why it is always like tha. This will normally be caused by improper shut down or power fluctuations in your monitor. Capacitrs in your monitor are responsible for holding down the power from the supply, fr the proper display on your monitor. If a capacitor is damaged, or buldged, it no longer holds power long enough for your display, and that is why your screen goes black after a few seconds. This can be solved by opening up your monitor, using a sharp and flat object, opening it starting from the bottom working your way up until the cover is completely out. You will notice finger-like clips that are holding the two covers together. Once you are done, check on the circut board where you connect the power cable.... that is where you are going to find the damaged capacitor(s). You can identify them by noting their bulged head or if there is any liquid coming out of it. Before you replace the, take note of the polarity (+) and (-) so that whenever you replace with the new one it is in the same direction. This will fix up your problem. Note: make sure you let a Computer Technician to do this for you, unless you can do it yourself without damaging the monitor. Thank you

Screen just goes all white then red, green, and blue color flashing

Is it that the screen just went blank or white without any display? need more clarification, but If it is, it means the picture board of your monitor has developed fault.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity or any service center to help with the replacement of the picture board because the fault is not something you can fix yourself, in order not to complicate issues.

Take care.

My screen on my Lg Flatron L226wTQ=bf went white. I tried rebooting it a few times and have also tried uplugging it. I have plugged in my old monitor for now which is working very well. Can you help me?...

Its either going to be the lcd or the inverter is bad. Keep in mind that the cost to repair the monitor is going to be more then its worth. Also make sure that your pins on the vga cable are nice and straight, bent pins can also cause this type of problem as well.
