I don't see where I find the scan settings. I want to scan 11 x 17 and set resolution. The user guide refers to the cd rom. The cd rom refers to the cd rom.

Scan settings are set in the scanning software. Most scanners come with a simple option (i.e. fully automatic) and an Expert option (where you can change the settiings as you wish.
What make of scanner is it and how are you initiating the scan?
