For cable broadband you will need to keep the modem in place and connect the ethernet port from the modem to the internet/modem port on the router with a cat5 cable (this may need to be a crossover cable but unlikely).

How do I get my new iPOD touch to surf the web thru my Belkin 54 G Wi-Fi Router? The iPOD appears to to recognise my 'belkin54g' & goes online (displaying 3 strong signal bars... But it will not Open a Browser or e-Mail and just keeps on 'CONNECTING' (displaying the little revolving bars signal)... I think it maybe something to do with the ROUTER & DNS settings (which are not being diplayed on the iPOD??)
