Asus ac68u router is not working with my powerline adapter. The router is brand new and less than a year old. The powerline adapter are tp link 500mpbs model tl-pa411. I have tried directly connecting

HAVE YOU DONE A VOLTAGE CHECK ON THE ADAPTER? IF NOT, READ WHAT THE VOLTAGE ADAPTER OUTPUT IS. IF THE MEASUREMENT IS DIFFERENT OR DON'T GET A READING AT ALL IT MEANS YOU HAVE AN OPEN CIRCUIT ON THE ADAPTER. MOSTLY MOST WIRES BREAK UNSEEN INSIDE THE PLASTIC INSULATOR NEAR THE PLUG END OR NEAR THE ADAPTER END, WHERE THEY BEND MOST.

Using belkin gigabit powerline adapter with a wirless router

Try to configure the 2 routers to work with one another when they are next to each other using standard ;an cable. Once working the powerline should work fine. If you try to configure them when they are apart you have 2 things that could be causing problems to take out the powerline to begin with, then when they are working close, move them apart

Can my neighbors or power company intercept my data over my powerline network?

Our Powerline devices have security that will prevent anyone from seeing your Powerline network. Using the utility provided with the device, you can encrypt all data transfers over powerline to 56 bit DES. In addition, the range of the powerline signal is limited, in order to help prevent others from accessing the data stream.

Well, can I plug my powerline unit into a powerstrip anyway?

While *technically* the Powerline network can function when plugged into a low-end powerstrip, i.e. a powerstrip with a simple fuse, this *seriously* degrades performance, and can block the Powerline network completely.

Do I need to plug my Powerline product into a powerstrip/UPS to protect it?

No; the Powerline products have a built-in surge protector. Plug the unit directly into the wall socket.

Can I use a Powerline product on a European 220 volt electrical system?

No. Currently we are only offering Powerline products for the North American market, with support for standard 120 Volt AC, 60 Hz electrical outlets. Simply plugging a 120 > 220 volt adapter will not work, as the transformer will block the broadband signal, not to mention that the increased voltage that is likely to leak through a standard adapter could destroy the product.

I have a large house (e.g. 4,000 sq ft). Will the Powerline network work throughout my house?

While the homeplug 1.0 standard was optimized for homes of around 2000 square feet, our Powerline devices have been tested with excellent results in homes of up to 7,000 square feet.
