First you need to contact the manufacturer and find out how to do a factory reset if possible. If you have no warranty and reset is not possible. Then remove the metal cover over the top, screws are on back and sides, sometimes top. after you get it open the cd mechanism is wide open. Remove the magnetic lock bearing from the top of the cd spindle. usually 2 screws on the sides. manually remove the cd from the tray and check for any damage, you can clean the lense off with anything softer than cotton, but q tips are a last resort tool. Gently wipe off lens in circular motion, being sure to life the material off the lens toward the edge coming outward. Also. there is a small glass fuse on the other side
of the player, near where the power cord comes out, make sure
that is not blown Replace all parts and leave the screws for the cover out until you are sure it works.
Try to power it on and see what happens. if no luck then get a new super multi blue player, just wait until the price is right but its a great player that supports every type of disc. details at your local electronics dealer

Some have a little hole in the front, you pull the power and use a paper clip. Bend it out so its fairly straight then you poke it into the hole and it unloads the mechanisim. If there is no hole you may have to remove the cover.

SOURCE: sanyo 6100 dvd player-disc tray automatically opens whenever power is on.

Have you checked to see if it is off track? Sometimes when these machines get bumpbed, dropped, or fall they can jump track. You have to take the cover off and inspect to see if it is off track when it closes and opens. It should go all the way back on the track when it closes. Be careful not to shock yourself. If it is on when you do it and your hand touches the metal parts inside you can get seriously burned or shocked.

Go Video DV 2150 - DVD door won't open at all. You can hear a mechanism working behind the closed door, but nothing happens and the door remains shut. Any advice??

There is a small belt under the loading tray which would have gone slack ( loose ) and the sound you hear is it slipping on the motor pulley. If you are confident you can remove the mechanism and turn it upside down and access this belt. Dismantle only if you can get the spare belt or your efforts will be in vain.

The dvd player will not read the disc

If it won't read any disc you put in, consider getting a new DVD player, the eye is most likely gone bad. If it is only one disc that you can't read i would suggest a Scotch DVD Cleaner kit. Cleans and Repairs discs, helps prevent skipping and mistracking, and repairs minor surface scratches improving disc audio and image quality.

Hi this is peter i have a problem hat i nt figer out. trying to install Punch Home and Land Premium i get this-- Error 1305.Error reading From file C: Program Files\Punch! Home and Land Premium\ tool...

Hello peter4927,

An, "Error 1305" message mean that; your computer is unable to read the "Program Disc" properly.

This error can occur if your CD or DVD is damaged, dirty, or caused by dust.

This can happen, if another program is "preventing your computer from reading the "Program!"
You will also receive this error if the "Disc Drive" is damaged or dirty.
Try cleaning the "Disc" first!
"Use a Disc Cleaner, to clean the CD-ROM / DVD Drive.
Place the "Program Disc in the Disk Drive; then "Restart the Computer!"
This will have the CD, or DVD start-up {Automatically}.
Next, you can try to start the "Disc" by using the "Auto-Run."
To do so; place the 'Disc' in the "Disc Drive Tray."
Next, [right click] on the "Computer Icon" to open the 'computer window'.
Now, right click, on the Disc Drive, and select the either, "Open, Explore or {Auto-run}.
Hopefully it will start.
Repeat each action if necessary!
"If there is anything else, you may need help with?
Write a 'comment,' I'll be here to assist you!"
"Best Regards"

My device cant open the disc tray please advise me on what to do

Electronics Corporation sells inexpensive DVD players. The DVD players, however, often exhibit problems due to their manufacture and way that they work, which must be dealt with during the course of the player's life. Knowing what these problems are beforehand can aid in resolving difficulties when using the DVD player. In some cases, it can help eliminate the problem before it can become catastrophic

The disc door is not properly closed if the Disc player display shows an "Open" error message. Check that there are no gaps in the door and use the remote to open the disc door. If it will not open, unplug the Disc player and gently pull out the disc door and then push it in. Plug the Disc player back into the AC socket.

If the DVD has not been inserted properly into the disc tray, a "No Disc" error message will come up on the display. Eject the disc and lightly flick off dust using the edge of a lintless cloth. Inspect the disc for damage. Insert it carefully again into the disc tray and use the remote to close the disc door.

Because the Disk player is inexpensive, the power supply is not of the highest quality. Having a surge protector to plug into the Disc player will help to keep the power supply from being damaged over the course of its lifetime.

Have a nice day

Open tray

Hi, this is caused because your laser is either dirty or starting to fail. Take your 360 and turn it on, then open the tray. As soon as the tray is open, unplug your 360. Now with the tray open use a can of compressed air or an air compressor and blow out the DVD drive .And see if it is because your laser is dirty. Take your 360 and plug it back in and try putting a disc in it. If it still gives you the "open tray" error, then your laser is not reading the disc and needs to be replaced.

Cannot Close Sony DVP-NC665P 5 disk tray

There is a possiblity that he may have shifted the unit while discs were in it causing the discs to slip off the tray and into the unit. You have to open the unit to check if there are loose discs.
