I have a nuvi 200w and I live in Dublin, do I need to purchase more maps or are the preloaded ones ok.

City Navigator 2012 is available preloaded on micro sd card.

You can purchase maps for download at https://buy.garmin.com/shop/buymaps.do?null&ra=true. Garmin does sell the maps for Australia at that site.

There are other maps available from third parties which are compatible but you'd have to confirm that from the seller.

Create an account at myGarmin regsiter your unit ID number this will allow you to unlock the maps that you buy. You then have two options the first requires you to have an NT 2009 or 2008 map already installed.

well you need to update the firmware of your gps also call garmin customer support they are great tell them about the map, also the poor satelite cover might be because of your location or weather conditions

Here is the link for the full Nuvi 200 manual. No, you do not need to send the unit back. You can purchase a map online and download the map to your Nuvi using a USB to mini-USB cable.

Go into the setup menu and choose maps. A screen will come up telling you what maps are installed. If nothing is there, you may have to reinstall the maps (you'd have to contact Garmin for this).

You have to delete the old maps in order to install the new ones.

You need to buy a preloaded SD card, purchase maps from Garmin and download them to a blank SD card.
