I am trying to recharge my SanDisk Sansa MP3

Try with another usb cable. If still no luck can be an unsoldered port or need for new battery? How many times approx. have you charged already?

I am having the same problem after almost one year of using the unit. I called Sandisk Customer support 4 times with the problem and I was told to download the MS Multimedia Player 3 times after went thru the control panel and checking the drivers. I was told if I don't do that, they'll not be able to help me. What MS Multimedia Player has to do with charging the battery? Why they assuming it is my computers problem (I told them that I've tried on multiple computers), not the unit problem? I am very frustrated with this customer service and I'll not call them any more. Is anyone know another number that I could call during normal working hours?
