NAD 502 playback noise

NAD 502 playback noise when red wire on ribbon connector is touched. new ribbon wire available? upon opening cabinet LCD bubs also stopped working. Any suggestions on vibration damping (via feet?) Other vintage NAD player model with equivalent or better performance reviews?
