Question about E-Machines T5048 (7136) PC Desktop
Upon launching a new application the cpu fan races for about 30 seconds and then slow down to normal speed
This creates abjectionable noise.
I await any suggested fixes as this appears abnormal and not related to any thermal issues.
reagrds from rogespeed
Thanks bigunit12 - as I suspected, no real concern
expect the noise is a pain.
I do think the HS might be marginal and so I shall replace sometime with a higher capacity model, also maybe increase fan flow capacity and add a case hot air extractor fan.
Just to make sure

I've go the same problem on the same model but it's more sporadic in running full speed. It is quite annyoing too

It's normal. You probably have some type of cool and quiet technology. When you open a program, the cpu runs harder and hotter for that period. So, your fan speeds up to keep the cpu cool. Without this technology your fan would run full bore at all times.
