Rubber band at top that moves the laser into place came off. how do I replace?.

Please please please, if you are asking this question you really shouldn't be doing this yourself.
take this to a Yamaha hifi centre to get this done correctly.

likely hood also being it is stretched, hence it came off in the first place

Player won't play discs.. Removed cover, little carousel motor belt wrapped around shaft. Untangled and put back on pulleys but seems loose motor rotates but carousel barely moves

take the belt to your local ace hardware and find an o-ring that is slightly smaller than the belt. Install that and you should be back up and running for less than a dollar.

How do I adjust the record speed on a rockola juke box

Check the turntable rubber grommets first, these when worn or perished will give a rumbling sound through the speakers but will also change the speed as they will allow the motor to drop down which will use the other size on the motor shaft

Describe your Harman Kardon CDR30 2-Disc CD Recorder Problem It's a CDR26 and neither of the drawers will open.

With mine, it was the drive belts for the cd drawers, which were stretched and rigid. Open the case. Remove the 4 screws that hold down each cd drive. Push the drives out enough so you can pull the silver facing off the sliding try by pulling it up. Now you can lift out the cd drives, removing all the connectors as you go. Flip the white plastic slider underneath each drive and you can mechanically open the slide tray. This reveals the little motor and rubber pulley belt that operates the slide tray. If the belts are broken, perished, rigid or something, get something similar from your local electronics parts store (a couple of bucks each belt), and reassemble.

I have a Yamaha CDC-80. The CD drawer won't open and it makes a noise like it is trying to open, but is stick

Most probably, a rubber band that drives the drawer open is too too old. If you cannot find a new rubber band, a cheap and dirty solution just using a screw driver to pull out the drawer. BTW, I am having the exact problem, and I am still looking for the right rubber band. Hope it helps

Sony CDP-CX300 How To Replace Drive Belts?

The Sony call center says the two belts are the same size. Supposedly, there is a third belt "under the motor board" but I have not been able to find it. That is the 42x1.2 (4219362601). The two easy ones to replace are 421606101 and only cost 1.95 from Sony.

Won't play cds

I have the same problem. When you turn it, after a while it justs displays "ERROR". I opened the player and I think the player is stuck on the left hand of the interior. When I lift the lever on the front of the player it starts moving, but on returning to the same place it gets stuck again. I checked to see if any items were broken but that does not seem to be the problem. I suspect that it is caused by worn out items. Any suggestions, does Technics still support this player?
