I have a Mitsubishi 55 inch rear projection tv

I have a Mitsubishi 55 inch ws-55859 rear projection tv with no sound from my ANT-DTV but when I go through another input like using my DVD player I get sound. Problen #2 When I use my VCR I get a grey box that appears over most of my picture and if I open and cloes the menu it go'se away for a bit then returns "drives me crazy".
