BP 2000 priner has minor steps in print line. The characters are not always even on a horizontal line.. some of the characters are light like the dollar sign. It has a new band but the robbbon ink builds up around the raised band characters pretty fast.

This is usually due to the tractors not being set right.

There is a FINE LINE of having enough tension and tearing out the tractor strips.

ANOTHER problem is static electricity charges that create random drag on the paper either from the paper source or the output hopper.

In these cases, increase the humidity to 40% or use an ionizer in teh vicinity.

Characters in black aren't printing solid. characters are readable, but as a series of closely spaced horizontal stripes. However, in red, or blue, for example, they print fine.

Try cleaning the inkjet nozzles with the self-cleaning utility if have. Also can try aligning the printheads which is a utility on every printer. I would follow the following steps to rule out possibilities:

1) check black cartridge ink level
2) Take the cartridge out of the printer, moisten a paper towel with luke-warm water - not too wet
then with cartridge in hand, firmly press down and make an imprint on the paper towel as if you're using the cartridge as a "stamper".
- You should see a solid footprint of the black ink.
if not, toss it - even if not empty, its dried up from lack of enough frequent use.

If the footprint passes the test, put back in printer and perform an alignment procedure - that should fix it.

EPSON POS PRINTER does not print receipt

Try to clear your printer's queues up messages of all print commands that failed to print. See, what happens it when you send a document to printer, if it fails to print, and you send another, it queues up behind the first that failed to print. So instead of printing the second document it prints what you are seing, special characters etc.

Solution:
Go to start/priners and faxes and right click on your printer and select open. You will all the documents for print so far queued up. select and delete them. Restart your system and the printing should be Ok.

Tally 6100 missing lines

horizontal or vertical characters missing???
if your missing horizontal lines, look at where the print is missing if you see imprints... u have bad ribbons.
if your missing vertical characters down the page
Power off the printer & unplug from wall
Remove with phillips the top right cover. u will see that the control panel has a plastic clip needs to be pressed in for the control panel to come loose from the top right cover.
Then you will see P703 Hammerbank Ribbon Cable and
P704 Hammerbank Ribbon Cable swap these 2 cables on the Engine Controller Board part# 083368.
IF your missing characters move to another place on the printout then u will need to replace part# 083368.
IF your missing characters are still in the same place, then you will need to replace hammer module part# 081152, their is qty 11 of the individual 081152 about 1 inch wide. this will save $$$ ordering and replace 081152 if you have some at your work semi technical.
Be very careful with hands when powering the printer with the top right cover off
Electrically and mechanically.
