Chemical odor and Defrost code flashing
I have a ten year old Kenmore 27 side by side self monitoring refrigerator. About a week ago we began noticing an ''industrial'' smell in the fridge and freezer. Kind of a chemical smell. Today, the self monitoring system is flashing the code for Defrost. Any ideas what is wrong. Has this unit reached the end of its useful life?
