check your door seals. if warm moist air is leaking in, the condensation will constantly collect and freeze. the defrost might not be working. check the timer (box under the fridge) and the defrost sensor (on the evaporator line behind the freezer wall). a malfunction on either of those will cause the defrost not to work. the noise is probably from the fan hitting the ice.
