My Kenmore front-load washer 45682 is pissing me off. When it goes into spin cycle, the whole thing dances around, and the door has even blown-off with sparks flying. I had it fixed in the past when that happened, but it's now out of warranty, and i can't put it in spin cycle w/out severe thrashing. The legs are balanced - we took off the bottom and had originally found that one of the legs on the tub was off, so that has since been re-attached. I've run this thing on extra low spin, and that seemed to work for a while, but no longer. I have even succumbed to washing 2-3 towels at a time (with a machine that advertises 26!). But still - it's about to blow until we run to it and hit cancel. The drain is clear. Dryer is on top. We're trying high-spin to see if the faster spin will balance easier, but i'm really afraid that door is going to blow - and with the lock, it literally shoots off like a gun. Only 3 yrs old, and Sears will not stand behind, despite that we've spent over 6K on appliances w/ them over the last 3 years (I think warranty or not, they should stand behind their thousand dollar products - especially with their repeat customers that have nearly replaced all their appliances w/ them in the last 3 years). My only remaining appliances to replace are a stove top - oven -and microwave. I think someone else may get my business. Please - if anyone has any suggestions, i would much appreciate it. I don't want a fire in my house because of their crappy engineering.
