Our Kenmore Elite Oasis that we purchased over 3 years ago started to make incredible noise during the spin cycle, so loud you can barely hear yourself think. We had a repairman from a Service Company (not Sears) listen to it and he said he believes its the bearings. He advised that it would be a very expensive job to fix and because the Kenmore Elite has so many problems it might be better run it until it stops and then buy a new washer. We previously had the ''F1'' code problem but it was still under warranty and Sears replaced the electronics panel for free. Can anyone confirm the likelihood that we have a bearings problem? The washer does not rock, bang, or walk like some other posts report. Its just deafeningly loud during the spin cycle.

My washer/dryer is 7 years old. It does not spin any more. It does rotate couple times in cycle, then drains. Clothing are left very wet after washing. (I am not using dryer at all)
