Philips Magnavox 50MF231D 50" Plasma HDTV that has sound and a black screen. It began with taking longer and longer for the picture to show up when turned on in the morning then went totally black. You can see the channel number on the screen but thats it..sound is great. So is this fixable or does it cost as much to fix as a new tv???

Having the channel displayed is a good sign. It would be worth the estimate fee to find out what the problem is. Sounds like the Video module.
